Be sure to attend our very special kick off show on Thursday June 27.

Alvin Youngblood Hart will be joined by Ian Siegal at the Lamar Lounge in Oxford MS

to get the weekend rolling.

Ian Siegal will be the very first international guest to perform at the NMSHCP. Check out the project he did with The Mississippi Mudbloods (picnic artists Cody and Luther Dickinson, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Lightnin Malcom and Garry Burnside).

The 2013 raffle items are looking great!  This fantastic custom bird house was donated by our ever faithful picnic art vendor RP Funderburk. Thank you RP!

2013 Guitar Workshop Scholarships

Good News!

The 2013 NMSHCP is offering three scholarships for the guitar workshop (Friday June 28). The scholarship will not cover your entry into the picnic, camping or cooler fees.

This years instructors include: Kenny Brown, Luther Dickinson, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Duwayne and Garry Burnside.

If you would like to be considered to receive a scholarship to participate, please send  a private message to the NMSHCP Facebook page that includes the following information:

• Name
• Where you live
• Your guitar skill level (low, intermediate, advanced)
• Why you want to study NMS Hill Country Blues
• Why you feel qualified to receive the scholarship

Deadline for submission is Friday June 7.
All submissions and recipients will be reviewed and selected by the Board of Directors.
Recipients of the scholarship will be notified by Friday June 14.

2012 Raffle Items on display

We are very excited to provide our guests with another raffle in 2013.  

Alvin Youngblood Hart was our first responder

and has donated another guitar for this years raffle fun.

 If you know of anyone who has a unique craft or other suitable raffle item,

please let us know. We really enjoyed giving away all of the great gifts that 

our artists and sponsors donated last year.
